George A. Clark hired him to work in his variety store on 50 Genessee Street. There was also a J.H. England in the store from 1881-1891.The Utica directory lists it as a variety store until 1896 when they are listed as sellers of bicycles and fishing tackle. Clark also owned a glove factory beginning in 1881. 1897 Edward Ibbotson joined and it began a formal name change from George A. Clark Co. to: 1901 another Horrocks joined and the listing read: 1902 another building added so it looked like this As of 1903 another building added and it read: In 1904 it changed to Capitalization as of 1906
Notice Clark's name absent in 1908. He died in March of that year. In 1909, Horrocks is now President
