A. Nolan bamboo rod
#1I was shown a bamboo rod with an A. Nolan signature plus a designation of 805-3 with a No. D0592 also noted. It looks brand new and obviously hasn't been used. It has the tube, a sock and a spare tip. All components have the number designation of D0592 on them. Any help in what this rod is worth would be greatly appreciated.

#2This old thread is pretty much accurate and can provide some info:

I knew Allen - he showed up for a few years at the College Park show in MD. He was out in western MD near Deep Creek Lake. He was hot and heavy for a few years and then just faded out of the picture. I heard his shop was flooded or something like that.

#3Thanx so much for the quick response. Based on the information in the link it looks like the rod would have cost $1435 with all the bells and whistle offered and I'm not certain about the collect ability and definitely no warranty or repairability by Mr. Noland. The gentleman was asking $1400. Any thoughts on what it's worth on the market?
