Question about shipping and insurance

#1

Post by Mister Bill »

When do you insure and when do you "go naked"?

Which carrier would you use for a $1,000 item?

Say you are shipping a $1,000 rod.

Say you are shipping a $300 reel.

Do you try to recover the insurance cost in your price or is it for your peace of mind?

USPS Priority mail only. CONUS only. Full value Insurance required on everything at buyers expense.
Some items USPS REGISTERED mail only
Buyers pay all shipping/insurance costs (one way or the other ;) )

And you will need evidence to prove the value of the rod or reel if it is lost or damaged for the amount you insured it for when you fill out the claim form.
