Are NC spiders effective even when there are nor fish rising. Thinking about doing a wet fly challenge and only using wets this year, but not sure how to fish soft hackles with out a hatch. Any advice?

Re: Fishing North Country Spiders

#5Freestones in the winter...slow and deep. Look for the softer water at the tail-outs of pools....These are the time honored tactics.
Three days of consistent weather should put the fish to feed. Dress warm, and brig extra clothing.
Good luck

#6I find that spiders, soft hackles, flymphs, work on any kind of water I fish.
