The best bamboo rod builders on East Coast at Maryland Show

Per Brandin, Dana Gray, Marc Aroner, Jery Kustich, Rick Robbins, RJ Hosack, Jim Downes and Tim Abbott will be under one roof for one day only. Also, one of the finest bamboo dealers in the country will be there: Bob Selb from the Classic Flyfisherman. Make plans, drive down and stay Friday night at the Holiday Inn Express for a show rate of $99 and head home Saturday afternoon. It's going to be worth the trip!

I take exception to "The best bamboo rod builders" maybe "The best known"

After attending 38 gatherings I've seen many, many amateur makers that would compare to any of "The best"

Yes there is a difference
maker = planing/making the strips for the blank
builder = taking strips prepared and putting them together for the blank

That's why we call them Rodmakers Gatherings
