#23That's the first puloma fly lathe I've seen besides the one one my bench. I got it from the maker I think, on Martha's Vineyard maybe twenty years ago. Just had to say. Nice streamer by the way.

#24I spoke with Brewster Newton about a year ago and he had some great stories… he still lives in Upton.
The Pamola Fly Lathe was a jewel for my "relevant" collection… though few and far between, I like it!

#26trying to capture the detail in Faruk's DamaSeal was a challenge…
Damascus is always a visual experience… and form follows function...
the same idea but by moving the spot of exposure, the blue backdrop can be darkened...

#27I had the opportunity and pleasure to spend some quality time with Jay Smit [Jvise] and Faruk Ekich [Ultimate Bobbin & DamaSeal Vise]…
'got to pick up Jay at JFK Terminal 4 and we did the Fly Tying Symposium @ Somerset NJ…
an early get-up Monday to bring him back to the International Departure gate and then meander back to Kape Kodistan…
It was a really nice weekend and I got to enjoy some outstanding company…
here's my Jvise #510 KnuckleHead w/Damascus Jawz…

#29Very nice. I've become intrigued by fly photography since I've become addicted to Andy Baird's stunning fly photography on his blog. Google "Small Fly Funk Blogspot" and you'll see what I mean.

#34I have one of these:
https://cognisys-inc.com/focus-stacking ... h4QAvD_BwE
Learning how to use it, and all the peripheral software that goes with super-macro focus stacking is a big lift. But it's also a fun hobby.

#35Trout cannot resist all that fluff sitting so high on the water - its food!
