There is a pair of Bald Eagles building a nest in a tree just down the road from us. These things are not shy.

I imagine we'll be seeing more of him (I hope).
I fish . . . not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important but because I suspect that so many other concerns of men are equally unimportant--and not nearly so much fun.

Every time I see the pair I am without my camera. I now carry the point & shoot.

I used to see 30-40 of them about this time of year. They'd hang around the lowlands and levees in trees. I'd see them as I went out to observe the plumage of ducks as they came out of winter and had a harder time of flying. Haven't been back to the area in years. Doubt that many are still around.

Yes they aren't shy. Good confidence and presence they have. I try to show them to my kids and tell them that. Sorry. Got maudlin.
