Why is the St George sometimes referred as a St. George Perfect? To me they do not look at all alike. Did they ever?

Thank you,
Austin

Hardy St. George and Hardy Perfect are two different reels. I've never heard of someone with any knowledge of the St. George adding Perfect to its name. Both great reels!

The St George is by far my favourite reel . the St George 3inch is my go to reel ,i fish it on 3 different rods a 7ft9 5# a 7ft 4# and a 6ft6 3# .
Like most of us I have a selection of reels but with a couple of spare spools my St George gets a lot of use . I doubt that will change any time soon .
