Hardy Brothers Uniqua with Dame Stoddard plate

#1

Post by Briggs »

I am trying to get more information about a Hardy Brothers trout reel that was given to my father by his grandfather. I know it is a Hardy Brothers Uniqua trout reel, but it has a Dame Stoddard plate on it that I have not seen in my online searches. I can post additional images if needed.

Dame Stoddard was a Boston based retailer who had Hardy badge the reel for them, or they badged them in house. Search Dame Stoddard and you'll find much information on this site.

A&F, Folsom Arms, VL&D, and VL&A are other retailers who had Hardy badge reels, however, most often, these are oval medallions and may also be found on the inside of the reel.

Merry Christmas,
Joe
