Another piece of sad news is with us .
Shirley Maisey of Belvoirdale Services in the UK passed away a few weeks ago .
In the rodmaking world Shirl will be remembered for his outstanding ferrules and reel seats . His ferrules being considered by many professional builders to have been the best made ever .
Thanks for everything Shirl , gone but not forgotten .

I never met him but I have one of his reel seats on a Sweet Water Trout Bum rod Wyatt Dietrich built for me. I bought the seat from Graham at a PA Fly Fishing Museum open house as I found it to be so beautifully crafted. Heatfelt condolences to his family.
