Board upgrade successful!!!!

Well gang, the forum was successfully upgraded. Had a few minor problems, but they were fixed. I've still got some cleanup to do and I'll be working on that over the next few days or so.

The biggest thing is to get the board's look and feel back to the way it was, with our old colors, banners, and toppers. The old version of the styles doesn't work with the new version, so I'll have to get that updated and that is going to take some time. I've also got to install the anti spam stuff and the tapatalk plugin yet too.

At any rate the forum is up and running again, though in a little different form than it was before, but that will get fixed.

I searched and cannot find the "new posts" function formerly present. I hit that about 3 times a day! Sweet feature. "It" is probably there just cannot find it.

The new posts function will show up when we get the old style back working again. I don't think it's part of the default style that we're using right now, but I'm as unfamiliar with this style as you folks are. I'm still learning it to keep the forum admin under control till we get back our old setup.

And I have too many messages and went to delete a few so that I could read the new ones and I keep getting a message of "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again". Thanks for your Saturday services!

Lots of pages seem to be missing are you going to be able to recover them? some show the first page and the last page and nothing in between.

I'm seeing all the pages. Are you still not seeing them?

I don't see links to the databases, such as Greg's Orvis one either. Am I simply missing something?

Those links are embedded in the web pages for the old style. They'll be back.

I guess successful is a matter of opinion .

I got great idea. How about you take over the admin duties and perform the massive upgrade this forum went through, and deal with all the glitches that usually entail when something like this is undertaken.

The forum upgrade went fine. Now I have to get our old style and themes upgraded so that it works with the newer version of the forum software.

Just need a little patience from everybody here. Working hard to get this beast working so that it will survive the operating system and php software upgrade that's coming this Wednesday.
