NRG Beginners Workshop

In connection with the Northern Rodmakers Gathering this September, we will again be offering a beginners workshop. This is a half day workshop .
Hands On - NRG Rodmaking Workshop, Thursday September 17th 1-5pm plus
Get your questions answered and an overview of what it takes to make a bamboo flyrod.
This session will go over the steps, equipment needed and resources available to start or refine building exquisite bamboo flyrods for yourself and friends. We will also discuss planing forms and (ways to make and places to get them). The session is essentially 4 hours but will go as long as people have questions on Thursday afternoon. It will include hands on blade sharpening, cane flaming, node prep, splitting and some planing of the cane.
This is a once a year opportunity to see this and discuss bamboo rodmaking with not only the instructor but also accomplished builders from the upper Midwest all weekend long. Join us and register by contacting Scott at oossg@vbe.com. This is a FREE workshop put on by NRG to encourage new builders.
