Sorry for your loss. It's always difficult.

My best wishes to you and your family in this time of mourning and reflection. This is so sad as these next few years will see the passing of the last of the surviving veterans of WW2 and we will have lost our “Greatest Generation”. My Dad, a survivor of the Air Battles over Germany, passed away a few years back, and my family still feels the loss. We just finished celebrating his life and service, as I’m sure you did with your father, during Rememberance Day last week. I read your heart felt post and wanted to extend my wishes that the fond memories of the wonderful times spent with your father will ease your sense of despair, as it has done for me.
Sincere Regards from Canada....Jim

Jeff--

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much he meant to you. And, as a member of that generation, what a legacy he left for all of us! And, belated thanks to the support he provided in making the traveling museum available to all of us.

Please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family.

Rupert

I'm terribly sorry to read this, Jeff. I remember meeting him at your house and he seemed like a very kindly man. Obviously, from your description of his wartime service, he was so much more than that and clearly a great father as well. He will live on in you.

Jeff, thank you for sharing with us your father’s passing. How good it is that your father imbued you with the joy of crafting beauty with your hands. From that photo you shared it’s clear he got so much pleasure from working to fix and improve his car. It is strong medicine that you can carry him with you wherever you go and especially when you are near water and woods. I am sorry for your loss and I will keep both of you in my prayers. Blessings, Jed

RIP Jack and my deepest condolences Brother.

Jack always picked up the phone, sharing a chuckle or two with me as he hollered for Jeff who was neck deep in work or thought at his workshop. Met Jack at the cave and he was still working on his car. Spritely, funny and a generous man indeed... a humble hero.
