1st SWISS BAMBOO RODMAKERS GATHERING

"Splitcane" Switzerland, a group of volunteers, organizes from 15th to 17th september 2006 the first Swiss Bamboo Rodmakers Gathering, offering a wide range of knowledge relatetd to cane rod making.
The program is focused on the following main topics: taper design, bamboo ferrules, spiral rods, binding systems and 13-strip rods. Besides that there will also be discussions on subjects like the morgan hand mill, quad-, penta- and octa-rods.
Qualified speakers like Rolf Baginski and Robert Stroh from Germany, Bjarne Fries from Danemark and Kurt Zumbrunn from Switzerland have allready confirmed their lectures.

Now this is just too cool! Rodmakers Gatherings springing up all over the world! Best of luck to you folks doing this. A gathering is an all around great time, and you get a whole bunch of great people together and have a ball, and learn a bunch of stuff.
