That's right, Summers, Jeff Wagner, John Pickard, Tim Tiezak (sp) of Pittsburgh all seem to have used tackle for sale.

There is also the 'Old TIme Angler' http://oldtimeangler.tripod.com/index/reels.htm
I think you need to email for prices though.

I wanted to take a moment to let you all know that my company is about open for business. It is called Left Coast Tackle as I live in Washington state. In the initial stages of this business venture I was persuaded to become a dealer for bamboo rods. In the last few months there have been some adjustments and so forth with regards to what the business was to become. As with all things in life, there is constant change, growth, a change in philosophy etc.
As of today I am a dealer for Bellinger bamboo rods, Bellinger reels, and my own line of fiberglass rods. This is going to be a PART TIME venture for me as I have a full time job. But I will always be available via my business phone for anyone who wants to talk rods and reels. My website is about on line but not quite. Probably another couple of weeks or so. Here is my contact info:
www.leftcoasttackle.com
leftcoasttackle@yahoo.com
Left Coast Tackle
19814 SE 263rd PL
Covington, WA 98042
ph# 206-890-1798

For those interested here is a list of my glass rod offerings:

6' 10" 3/1 ~ 3# semi parabolic
7' 1" 3/1 ~ 4# parabolic
7' 3" 3/1 ~ 4# medium progressive
7' 7" 3/1 ~ 4# medium progressive
7' 9" 4/1 ~ 5# parabolic
7' 10" 4/1 ~ 4# medium progressive
Rods are a nice light brown/ amber color with olive silks, brown trim, koa reel seat fillers, blued hardware, Snake brand guides and agate stripping guide. They come in a chocolate brown rod bag with a leather pull tab and a sewn label. They are shipped in a brass capped rod tube with my rod tube label and pertinent info. For those who live in Washington I will be at the FFF show in Bellevue, WA Feb. 1st & 2nd in the bamboo area. Please stop by and say hello. I will be handing out business cards and will have company logo t-shirts for sale. Thanks guys. Dan

In Germany there is Udo Hildebrandt and a few others. Perhaps somebody is interested in the calendar of vintage fishing tackle events that I am trying to track (here). Cheers

All I know is, this on-line buying capability is feeding my cane addiction. I am a classic impulse buyer. After a particularly good day trading in the capital markets, I have found myself, after my third glass of wine, trolling Bob Selb's site. Picked up a Walt Carpenter Browntone from Bob yesterday.

I have found myself, after my third glass of wine....

Yep, I know what you mean. A couple of days ago I made a killing in the metals market when I sold my old aluminum guttering to a scrap dealer. Not exactly capital gains, more like found money but it spends the same. Even better, it was tax free! So, as I was sayin', I took that pile of dough, hid it from the little woman, and had a couple of cups of bourbon. Well before I finished the second cup, I was hard into a dealers web site and ready to buy. I've been looking for a Leonard 38L for some time now and this was my chance without endangering my financial equilibrium. And I found one! Just about the time I was ready to send an email committing to buy, (after several misspellings of the addy for by now the 2nd cup was empty), the little woman finds my stash and notices a half a bottle of Kentucky's finest has disappeared. She confiscates the money, the whisky and bans me from all dealer web sites for a year. I hope your transaction went better than mine. She tells me she is spending my rod money on slip covers and new drapes.

Oh no, this is the sadest tale I've read in a long time. I grease the wheels way in advance. I know what's important to the little woman and make sure those ducks are in a row way before I splurge. Admittedly, I am talking major ducks like pay off the mortgage so she doesn't worry the children will be in an orphanage while she and I are living under a bridge somewhere.
