My collection

My collection:

Chris Carlin (3)
Mario Wojnicki (3)
Daryl Whitehead (2)
Mike Clark (4)
R. L. Winston Co. (4)
Bill Phillipson Co. (2)
Homer Jennings (2)
Don Schroeder (3)
Lyle Dickerson (3)
Bob Summers (3)
J. D. Wagner (1)
Walt Carpenter (1)
H.S. Gillum (1)

I do regret selling an E. C. Powell C taper rod.

I am satisfied, but am haunted by an E. C. Powell under 9’ B taper.

Impressive collection. Can you share information about your Carpenter rod?
Thanks,
Bill

Such a shame that you don't have a nice Orvis, Granger, or Heddon rod in your collection. Perhaps we should start a go fund me campaign for you?

Very nice collection.
Curious what South Creek rods you have. Which is your favorite? My name should come up on Mike's schedule this year and I am debating which rod to order. I have a 8 1/2 ft 5 weight and thinking of a 4 weight to compliment it.

Thats a nice group of rods to pick from for a days outing. I see you like Carlins - hard not to.

Not a bad collection. But you don't have any rods from Minnesota makers. Dave Norling, Bill Taylor, Mike Spittler, Larry Donahae, all fine rods.

Are your Carlin rods Chris' his own tapers? If so, which ones and how do you like them?

I count only 30 rods. Pick up just one more rod and you can fish every day of any month with a different rod! :rollin

Nice collection.

Just curious...is it coincidental that your current rod collection practically mirrors that posted by Marysfan in 2018 and shown in another current thread on this page? ;)

Now this is getting strange, especially if you look at past posts from both members...a leprechaun?

That's a fine looking Dickerson 861711. He made about 15 of them in 1947. It was one of his busiest years. I believe he made over 150 rods that year. He stockpiled blanks and components during the war.

Thanks for that information. The knowledge of members on this Forum is the reason that I joined.
