#25Wow! You have provided a tonne of information no other Dickerson collector or restorer I know could mention with certainty. Many thanks for the great ‘Appendix to The Man & His Rods’ that I will copy with your permission and keep beside my records for further reference;-). Wonderful stuff Marc.

Re: Original Dickerson Rod pamphlets
#29Marc, very cool to see these pamphlets. I find it intriguing that the pricing is consistent across the entire lineup, and whether two piece or three. It’s unexpected that Lyle sold a 102013 at the same cost as a 7011 for example, though the labor and expense involved in production would be quite different.
Also the weights listed are remarkably accurate to the only two Dickerson’s I have owned, within 0.05 ounces!
Thanks for your effort to share these documents with us and the insights you have provided us.

#31Fantastic thread, will take me a week or two to digest all of it. Sadly, I sold my hardbound copy of the Dickerson book, but still have fond memories of one of his rods that I owned and subsequently sold to Jerry Stein. It was a 9 foot bass rod custom built for his brother. I don't know anything more about the rod except that I recall it was in excellent condition when I sold it.

#32Hi Marc, I hope you will find time to answer my question about Dickerson Signatures/ Script. It’s funny when I see some beautiful writing that echoes Lyle but certainly by others. Interesting and thanks in advance!
