Who made rods for this Sporting goods, Hardware, Retailer?
There was even a rumor that the Fred Divine made rods for the Kiffe retailer.
I did some looking in all the books that I own and not even an honorable mention of that name which is puzzling to me.
Yes, I saw the line drawing in MS Rest book, definitely not it.
The Syracuse Bamboo Furniture Company?
The Syracuse Fish Rod Company?
This is the third Kiffe cane rod I have seen and all were completely different.
One had hang-rings, one had left to right snake piano wire guides, and one has right to left heavy snake wire guides.

#2I have one with hanging ring guides.
I posted it here a while ago.
Montague was the consensus I believe.
The search function should bring it up.

#3Several companies. If you have a specific rod, pics will surely help.

#4Yes. Pictures would be great, and help identify it.
It would be nice to see another one.
What's the length?
Form case...
Mine casts a 4wt.

Re: Photos of the H.H. Kiffe Rod
#5Thanks, I don't have pictures as yet but I was not notified that anyone wrote replies or I would have written earlier. I must have forgotten to click something.
It's a three-piece rod, extra tip, 7.6 ft.- 5wt., short bulbous, [football shapped] cork grip with 3/4" rings, cherrywood seat barrel NS DL sliding band, three-piece soldered hood over-sleeve, formed check over the cork.
NS ferrules machined soldered welt. If it had a formed case and bag, it did not come with the rod. The reel-seat does look like what EW Edwards used.
It's just that I have been so darn busy for months.
I guess the biggest issue here is that I can not find any written information about Kiffe on the net or in books, I am mystified.
Here are three pictures of the Kiffe 7.6 ft. rod below, each of the 4 sections are 31" long, the ferrules are pinned.
