unmarked Vintage Leonard fly rod

Post by hatch »

I have a Leonard fly rod which has a rattan handle Full metal reel seat and replacement snake guides. My question is, this rod has the 75 and 78 pat. dates on the butt ferrule but no other markings? I have used a powerful loupe on the metal reel seat and butt cap (which appear original) and not even a sign of a worn Mills or any other stamp. Mills being the "sole agent" I would not think rods were built without their stamp? If you are curious PM me your Cell # and I will text you pictures. Any ideas?

I found the markings. I was focused on the butt cap and the markings were a little dented and faint further up the reel seat, 5 lines H L Leonard maker W Mills + son N'York Sole Agents. Thanks for making me look harder headwaters.
