T&T Paradigm 7’6” 4wt Bamboo Rod

#1

Post by DinoC »

My only bamboo rod is a Thomas and Thomas Paradigm 7’6” 4wt 2 piece 2 tip rod. It has a swelled butt, it’s in excellent+ condition, including the original sock and tube.
Is this a collectible bamboo fly rod? Let me know.
Thank you,
DinoC

Absolutely!!
One of the most desirable series of rods T&T put out. The 7' and 7 1/2' are the most desirable. The 8'er is quite heavy ,IMHO.
They are T&T's answer to the Parabolic/semi- Parabolic rod.

The eight footer is a marvelous casting rod and does not feel heavy to me! Don't feel your rod is too "collectible" to fish it. Such rods deserve time upon the water.

Those are beautiful flyrods. I remember when T&T introduced them.

T&T's and especially the Paradigms are both eminently collectable and wonderful fly rods. Unless it has never been used get
out there, fish it and enjoy it. My 7 1/2' 4wt Paradigm is probably the rod I fish the most.

Regarding the weight of the 8 footers. They feel heavy in hand but in actually fishing they cast so effortlessly the weight IMHO
seems to melt away.

If you’re only going to have one fly rod, may as well make it a T&T. The most beautiful rod in my opinion.
