I'm collecting Divine Rod serial numbers. If you own a Divine Rod, please let me know the model of the rod and the serial number. If you need help determining the model, send me some pics at Paducahmichael@aol.com or post them here on the board. There are still some mysteries about the serial numbers and I'd like to try to solve them before I do the updated, expanded and revised edition of Fishing Rods by Divine later this year. I'd appreciate your help!

Michael, I have a Divine that was refinished by Dorsey and Maxwell when they were in Turner Falls in the early 70's. No label but have serial #'s on the cherry reel seat. Can you tell anything from that? has full intermediates and is perfect nymph rod. This was done before anyone started to restore, they just refinished, bummer.................Been locked in a gun safe all these years.

My two:

#1 - The Divine rod
413

This is a 10.5' bait rod 3/2 with tunnel guides ( double on the mid and tips) set in a velveted form case that had a leather cap at one end and metal at the other end.

#2 - F.D. Divine Maker Utica N.Y

Clark Rod

This is a 7.5' 3/2 lancewood bait rod with miniscule tunnel guides, all set in a round wood form case that has metal caps at either end. Unfortunately one tip is missing about 5'' from the top.

I just thought all of you might find it interesting that a good friend of mine just emailed his Divine collection information to me. Not that I have far to go with my collection, but he has 126 MORE Divines than I have. OMG - talk about having to keep secrets from your wife.... that's one thing, but I think he's been holding out on me for years.

9' 9" 3/2 ca 1917 rod H4067. Some happy refinisher removed all the original wraps, so a project for later. Original felt type bag and looks like original tube.

Also, an Abercrombie & Fitch Co 8' ^' 3/2 rod whose wraps resemble the 1917 Divine rods n/s reel seat in a wooden holder.
