Three Granger "hammer handle" or elliptical grips. Top two rods are 7030's while the bottom rod is a Goodwin Granger 9052 Tournament.

History of the quad 7ft 4wt edition: Top to bottom (or right to left): Bill Edwards 41, Sam Carlson, Dana Gray. It gets better with each generation but could anyone ever improve on Dana's work?

Thanks, Andre. I have a strange fondness for these Shakespeare dreadnoughts.

Three lovely gems from the greatest rod making family there ever was. One from the old man and two from Gene.

Three interesting (to me anyway) and very early automatics, an 1880 patent "Fisherman's Automatic" from Francis Loomis (pre-partnetship with Plumb), a Smith patent/Barnum & Morehouse reel and a transition box and reel from Y&E after the purchase of Loomis, circa 1883.

Those are very cool. I have no experience with automatic reels, but they are a great testament to the eternal search for the ideal fishing tool.

Three early, classic Hardy wide Perfect reels. Two of the reels are 3-1/4". The white-handled reel is 3". The rod is a custom three-piece 9'2" salmon rod built by Paul H. Young.

Thanks to bow river and chestatee, I am now reasonably well equipped for large trout and salmon.
