Headed up to Casper for a few days of R&R. Not hearing about any restrictions but I was wondering if anybody had wet a line up there recently? Pretty tired of all the silliness here in Colorado.

Last time I looked their State Parks were limited to State residents only.

As we were driving up to the Yellowstone area, Wyoming had signs saying state parks were open but reservations were required. No mention of residents only that I saw.

Wyoming is definitely open for business. Hotels are full, as are the restaurants. Sadly, the river was darn busy too. Everybody seems to have decided to social distance by going someplace less crowded than where they normally live. I liked things alot better up here when it was just backwards and slow.

Casper Mountain by morning, as seen from the Holiday inn.

Easily the biggest and most dramatic fish I've landed all year. That Korean Cascapedia was really howling as it headed for Casper (not a bamboo rod, sorry). I had to up all my tippet weights in order to have any hope of landing anything. It paid off here. It was too darn-hot to mess around with better pictures so this is all I have.

Same in California Sierra range and towns, jammed, booked up, trash, poor driving. The usual.

Just got back from Wyoming. Very few people and Great fishing if you stay away from the most popular well known rivers. Medicine Bow wilderness, Laramie River near CO border etc are examples off beaten path. Plenty of rooms at nice local hotels and no crowds. Just get off beaten path a little.
