Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum.
Can anyone shed some light on the above rod and is it much different from Sharpe's 8' 6" #6 which I have?
Thanks

#2The 79 83 and 88 were parabolic rods with staggered Ferrules. That is to say the butt and tip are different lengths. They have a different action than the 8'6" standard sharpe rods.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it. T.R.

#5Sharpe made another staggered ferrule rod, the “Royal Tribute” at 8ft 7″ #5/6, of which 100 were built in 1981 to celebrate the marriage of HRH Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. They were given #1 and 2 as wedding gifts. Guess you could call it the 87.
