A rod for a Prince
#1Just one year a go I had the honor to build a very special rod!
I feel very privileged for the opportunity of having made the birthday present for his Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales.
It was handed over one day after his 72th birthday during his visit in Berlin at Bellevue palace by the Federal President of Germany.

#6Congratulations and well done!
The Prince and I are the same age. Hopefully my rod will arrive soon!

#9Very good. All you need now is a photo of Charlie belting it out to 75 feet on one of the family's favourite Scottish rivers.

Re: A rod for a Prince
#13Thank you for the nice words about my work. indeed it is a 8'6" 7wt' quad. It's suitable to fish for a summer grilse or seatrout. Most likely the only quad rod his royal highness ones.
He let me know that he will fish it this summer,

#17Congratulations, that’s a great honor Olaf, as HRH is definitely a skilled and knowledgeable fisherman and is able to appreciate a nice rod. It’s also a honor for the Prince as your work is beyond nice! I know as I fish a number of your rods Having said that - if anyone has a #3 wt from Olaf that is in need of another home - just drop me a note!
