#1Sure enough. One can wait for hours, days even, to see wolves in YNP. There are folks that spend the entire year trying to spot one. Well, my better half and I were in YNP to fish the day before yesterday and on our way in we were rewarded with a pack of a dozen. Just have to be in the right place at the right time I guess. Check it out.

That is very neat. You must have been on cloud 9 for the rest of the day. We came across the wolf shown in the picture below eating roadkill in Lamar Valley. It stayed on the shoulder for what seemed like a couple of minutes, but was likely a few seconds. It is the only time we have been able to get close to one. Others we have seen were a long ways off and barely visible with a spotting scope.

#10Frank, that wolf is nicely photographed. I saw one this summer near DuBois WY but didn't have a long lens.

#11I've seen them a number of times in YNP but I think the biggest group I've seen was six wolves and they were at a distance.

#12Hi Guys, Do you think they were 'mousing' or did they have a kill, or just out for a walk?
