This is only the second trout I've ever caught on a split bamboo fly rod. The first one came about 40 minutes earlier, but it wasn't nearly as pretty as this one is. Rest assured, there will be many more caught on bamboo. Had the time of my life fishing a custom rod today that a friend gifted me. Best gift that I've ever received.

Just keep in mind there is a reason for da budda this time of year and be kind. Better for you come spring if left to do the nasty!
