A lifetime supply of tip tops

So I wound up with about 3000 size 5 and 5.5 gray tip tops. Anybody have any clue where these might have come from?

Lee,

I guess you need to get busy now!

Will they polish up? You might want to sell some.

Cheers,

John

Just a thought; but, one of the sonic jewelry cleaners might take the gray off and give you a nice polished finish. Worth talking to a jeweler about.

I think its time to start looking for culms...
The rock polisher tumbler idea is a good one...

I am going to work on getting these in a usable condition. I will give some out to see if people can figure out a way to pretty them up

So I hit one with a polishing cloth and these are definitely black finish. The crimp is a little large but I think these are usable. Photo is compared to a PAC Bay. Thoughts?

That's how I mark tips, black on one and bright on the other. Livingstone.

So these tip tops are unusual. Sanding reveals there are a “silver” colored metal under the finish but not NS and not magnetic
