Could someone tell me how varnish was ‘applied’ in the later years at Leonard?
Thanks

Looks like I lost a post somewhere along the line.

Up until Tom Maxwell left, Leonard rods were brush varnished. Prior to Tom’s tenure you can occasionally find the odd dust speck on a Leonard rod, on some more than others. A post fire hallmark. Tom made great strides in improving the finish. After he left, I don’t know what methods they employed.

For confirmation You might reach out to Bobby Taylor or Marc Aroner.

Cheers,
Richard
