These "Dickerson8014" and "Para14" have the most weirdly beautiful, non traditional color combinations on bamboo rod I have seen. Bravo!:)

...as for us we pin our faith and fealty to the silk-wound PENTAGONAL rod cunningly yet simply devised of its FIVE subtle, individual triangular strips of cane throughout...

Just finished my first bamboo spinning rod, an ultra-light 5'6", as a Christmas gift. Hoping it will make perch feel like pike!

Thank you, Gentlemen, for your kind words. The spinning rod was for my Mom, and it was received as I had hoped. For my Dad, I made a bamboo walking staff.

I like the wading staff. Just curious how you finished the other end?

The bottom was fitted with a conical shaped, flat bottomed, brass cane tip. It would not be appropriate as a wading staff tip, but as a walking staff should be fine.

Recent build. Gorilla Glue finish with spar urethane on wraps.

#146 Parabolic 8'#5 TMV. Natural color bamboo, Garrison style grip and reel seat hardware. Combined ferrules - Easton aluminium female and stainless steel male. Homemade stainless steel snake guides.
