Nicely done. Clean fit and finish. Bet they will catch fish for years to come.

This is my third completed build. Keeping it sort of simple with a Payne 204. I shipped it up to a friend in Alaska for the summer. The darker cane with the green wraps reminds me of Andés mints. The butt is hollowed using the magic star cutter on the Morgan hand mill and the mid/tips are hollowed with the hollow fluter.

Nice rod. I'm sure it will fish well in AK!

Just finishing up an 8'4" 2 piece quad with fiberglass ferrule. Rod weighs in at 3.9 oz. Terrific caster and looking forward to testing on the Henry's Fork soon.

The chestnut seat contrasts nicely with the dark cane. I have a seat made from chestnut you supplied ready to go on a blank about as dark as yours. Very nice combination! Thanks for sharing.

Another one done. This is a modified 7012 with a funky rattan grip - sanded smooth. I like it

I’ve been pondering the guides and butt cap from your last couple of postings. Did you make the pocketed butt cap and the guides with what looked in the pictures like they had a very upright short twist? Very nice work!

The butt caps are from Ray Lee. He sells on the big auction site. The guides are made using Marcel Duval’s technique- wrapping around drill bit

Just finished a pair of hollowed penta Payne 100s
I hollowed the butts with the magic star cutter and the tips with the hollow fluter. Still getting the hang of varnishing and wrapping guides. A few loose thread fibers sticking through the varnish here and there.
