Quebec Rodmaker?

Hi, this is a real shot in the dark, but I am hoping you can help me out. Around 15 or so years ago I purchased a 7’ 9”, 5 wt. impregnated and ferruled blank from a guy in Quebec, and for the life of me I cannot remember his name. Hoping some of you remember who I am talking about. He used to be active on the old forum, (If I recall he was not shy on expressing his opinion on the forum) and he sold quite a few blanks and I believe they were all impregnated. The blanks had a very dark color to them. If you think you know who I am talking about I would appreciate knowing his name.

Perhaps you are thinking of Terry Ackland. I know that he quit making rods some time ago.

Enigma Cane was the name of Terry’s business, and indeed he did make blanks - I suspect Bruce found the name you are after.
