Has anyone ever seen a Jim Payne rod WITHOUT witness marks ?

#2I was about to say my 102DF lacks the witness marks. However, I finally found them but only with the aid of a magnifying glass (and my eyes aren't that bad...yet). To my mind, and eyes, they are almost too small to be of any practical value.

#3Witness marks become extraneous after the guides are on. I use them only to fit ferrules.
