First Era Granger Tapers?

The exchange of tapers forum is for classic and personally developed tapers. The definition of classic tapers are those tapers that were developed by rodmakers that are no longer alive. Please understand that rod makers who have developed their tapers, and are active in the community, should not have their tapers cloned, or shared, without their permission, please refrain for asking for those tapers as it infringes on the maker.

1st Era Granger Special 9043
9 ft, 3/2, 4.8 oz
This taper was measured starting at the tip, at one inch increments for the first 25 inches, then 5 inch increments. No addition was made for varnish, which is spotty, and varies from thin to medium. There was a lot of variation around the flats, so I took an average.

Kudos!

Thanks for taking the time to do this.
So, how crazy did it make you to check, re-check, and average your readings? It's no small task if your not familiar with it.

It was frustrating! And, as I mentioned, the varnish is rough and spotty, so the measurements varied. If I were to do this again, I would probably get slightly different results. I’m not a rod builder so I’m not sure how useful information off of roughly varnished rods is, but I suppose it’s gives a general idea of the taper.
