Identification of a bamboo rod.

This is the board to ask about the identity, or for an appraisal, of a rod. Please use the outline as explained on the board. If there is a makers name, list that in the subject line. Make sure you include the length, number of sections, any identifying markings and the general condition. Adding photographs is always helpful!

Identification of a bamboo rod.

#1

Post by Brett_S. »

Hello all! I was hoping to get some help identifying this bamboo rod. It is a 2 piece, 104" long (assembled), of an unknown manufacturer. As far as I can tell (I looked very close over the entire surface) there are no stamps or engravings or words or letters of any kind on the rod. Any help is appreciated!

Probably a home made rod using bamboo culms. The end is from a cane or walker. This is NOT a split bamboo rod. Value is whatever someone would pay for it as a decoration; not much.
