identification bamboo rods

I need help identifying an antique bamboo fly road.ranswers. I don't know much about it except it's bamboo. . It is in good condition but the marking is not visible,thank you very much for your help.

Made in Japan after WWII. They were more like souvenirs, rather than good fishing tools. Many servicemen came home with them after the war. Little value, unless it belonged to one of your relatives.

+1. They came in a sectioned box with reel,line,flies,floats, etc.

Not Japanese. It's an American made, round lancewood bait casting rod. The handle is distinctive and known by others here as to maker. Nice early rod.

Correct, NOT Japanese on this one. It was built by Montague somewhere between the mid 1920's and the early 1930's, based on the reel seat hardware and the use of lancewood and spiked ferrules.

It's not a combination rod, but a trunk rod or pack rod.
