#1Winchester Model 6096 Stamped on metal base below the cork.
1) Rod is approximately 8 1/3 feet in length.
2) Hexagon shaped bamboo rod.
3) 3 sections. First two sections are contain in a cloth covering. There are two different types of tips (1 black tip, one metal tip). These tips are enclosed in their own cloth covering and are contained in their own wood protective case with a screw off lid.
4) Entire flyrod assembly is in a green aluminum tube with a screw off lid.
Any information would be appreciated.

#2Designed and possibly supervised but not necessarily so. I've an unmarked similar rod.
The swelled butt is unusal for a Winchester I think. Couldn't quite run that down in past here.

#5I don't even see a #6096 in any of my catalogs. Is the rod stamped "WINCHESTER"? Steve, do you have a catalog listing for it?

#6No cats here Mark. I rely on Garner and mostly White. Need a pic of the stamping to really say much. And, of course, the pic would need to be in focus and section lengths could help with length. Maybe a worn 6090?wrong66 wrote:I don't even see a #6096 in any of my catalogs. Is the rod stamped "WINCHESTER"? Steve, do you have a catalog listing for it?

#8Clearly marked 6096. OP, is there any label on the black tube? The two tips normally go into a single cloth sleeve with two slots, this then goes into the bamboo tube with brass top, then the bamboo tube, mid, and butt section go into the cloth tube with 3 slots. I've moved along my White book and my catalog, so can't add much more here.

#9Hi, the tube is green with no markings. Yes, everything you stated exists with this rod. Thanks for the reply..... Baddlab
