Ferrules appear to be Horrocks-Ibbotson, not Montague.

Your mystery rod is a high end Montague rod, probably built between 1910 and the early 20's. I have a few of these. A couple of them are marked as "The Jack Frost", presumably for the H. J. Frost Company of NY, NY.

Many earlier high end Montague rods sported hand welted nickel silver ferrules with 4 incisions, instead of the typical 2 slanted hash marks.

This will be a very nice rod to get refinished and fish. Nice find!!
