Vintage Richard Wheatley Clip Boxes

or however that dang word is written! : ) Use this forum to discuss those things that are related to, directly, or indirectly, fly fishing, i.e., tackle, catalogs, single malt scotch, cigar preferences, pipes, camera gear, etc. This is sort of an off topic area but one related to bamboo and fly fishing.

KLNC,

Two of my favorite types of RW boxes featured in one box - a Kilroy in the small waistcoat size.

Very cool. Still on the hunt for some myself.

Okay Wheatley fans, here are two early boxes marked for the retailers Army & Navy Ltd. and Farlows. The Army & Navy box is a much earlier version than that posted in post #78, which has the an opening for gut casts as well as two sides of clips mounted on Xylonite set up to hold 75 flies. The Xlyonite backing on the middle section has the RW Lozenge marking.

The C. Farlow & Co. LONDON clip case is set up to hold 119 flies, has the "Made in England" marking and the large RW lozenge
