Pipe smokers and collectors

or however that dang word is written! : ) Use this forum to discuss those things that are related to, directly, or indirectly, fly fishing, i.e., tackle, catalogs, single malt scotch, cigar preferences, pipes, camera gear, etc. This is sort of an off topic area but one related to bamboo and fly fishing.

I'd hate to drop that Filson in the drink, too. :)

Cool pic and nice Filson!
I spent most of my money on shotguns, fly rods, guitars and banjos. The rest I just wasted. (Apologies to W.C. Fields)

Any knowledge about a pipe marked "Orvis", maybe made by Nachwalter? I'm helping Sante Giuliani's widow move his stuff to loving homes.

I haven't been in touch with Elliott in a long time (used to do a lot of work on his cottage), but I'll see if I can hunt him up. I'm pretty sure he did make pipes for Orvis, but can't remember where he was located when he did, and if they were the of the ilk of the pipes with his company name on them from Florida. I'll see if I can find his wife, Carol; she would know, too.
