I spent most of my money on shotguns, fly rods, guitars and banjos. The rest I just wasted. (Apologies to W.C. Fields)

Here's an idea. With all of these beautiful pictures, we could have a contest. The 12 best could be made into a classic fly tackle calendar. I'd sure buy one.

That sounds like a great idea

Gorgeous photos, Phil ... but if I didn’t know any better, I’d guess that the inspiration for them was lifted off this cave wall of mine??

Seriously, we should do this. It’s definitely worth trying.

An old shot but am going to fish my ol' 7' DT2 T&T TTT soon, so resurrected here. The CFO lll is large, but it perfectly balances the 2.8 oz rod. This was a few years back on a favorite Sierra stream, and I caught a lot of feisty rainbows and browns. In a real tight spot I took a break and set the rod here. Wish I could have added the sounds of the rushing stream, that great sound we all love.

Although some of these items were built nearly a century apart, I think they look good together

Your photos are always so well composed and close to the angler's soul that in their viewing I hear the music of the waters you fish. You needn't wish for more. It is already there.
