#8Thanks, guys. I've been downloading some photos from my now worthless Photobucket album to my iPad and found that old photo. PYochim, as I remember, that photo was taken with a little point and shoot Olympus Tough on the macro setting. I used that background because the colors matched the reel so well - found the tree fungus growing in the woods behind my house and thought it was particularly beautiful. Actually, I never knew that amadou was made from it until Masatoshi Okui told me after I had sent him the photo. After probably 40 year of looking at those expensive amadou patches in the Dan Bailey catalog, I finally bought one and they truly are great for drying flies.

#9Really interesting, but then Duff usually has very interesting pictures of really cool gear!

#11Hi Duff,
By any chance, would you consider selling or trading this Kineya reel?
Let me know.

#13A friend in Romania gave me a few amadou fly dryers he made up at home, when I was visiting. In my wife's native Hungary, you can find hats and all sorts of things made of amadou. Regardless, great picture, as always.

#14Tom, the white, silver and gold tones in the Amadou, and the highlights of the Kineya are magnificent together. Thanks Tom! Inspiring!!! Jed
