Social distancing with my easel

The first from a ref photo of a northern tier stream.

The second is of a painting tutorial I did from a favorite artist of mine, Samual Earp. He does a great job of guiding you through the entire process of creating a painting. (if interested, check him out on youtube)

Stay safe everyone and please keep up with the great content to help get us through this time.

Delightful Matt.
Love the sense of light and reflections in the water.

Nice Paintings, I have been doing much the same, drawings and sketches in my spare time when not doing work. Funny or small world I have been watching Sam Earp and Andrew Tischler (both in NZ) a lot on you tube they have great videos and great instructions. There are some great artists on you tube with great instructional videos. The second painting looks very similar to Sam Earp’s work can see his influence on that one.

I also really like Andrew Tischler. Both of those guys are very generous with their advice and knowledge. The second painting was from one of Sam’s tutorials.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Lovely.
I spent most of my money on shotguns, fly rods, guitars and banjos. The rest I just wasted. (Apologies to W.C. Fields)

Matt nice painting, good to see you are staying busy. Here is another one of a pair of classic salmon flies that I completed over the weekend.

Here is the latest landscape oil painting which I just completed. May have to add a few highlights and then sign it.
