Honest photo of a beautiful reel.
I have one in claret.
Very nice.

Nice photo Ron.

I’ve got a couple of them and use them all the time. They’re great fishing reels, and beautiful !

If I wasn't someone who has the awkward combination of being left-handed and right-armed (there are more than a few of us out here), I'd love to fish this reel. But reeling with my left hand and casting with my right is so natural and comfortable to me I just enjoy their beauty. And take their photos!

By the way, nice to hear from a neighbor. I'd like to do more searun chasing once I retire and have more time. Standing hip deep along a Puget Sound shoreline is wonderful, but when you add a salt-water supercharged cutthroat trout to the mix its downright awesome.

"Wonderful" it is!

Times'a wastin' Ron. When fishing is allowed again, let's go.

Sounds awesome! What rod do you fish on the beaches?

I prefer impregnated rods for the salt. That's just for my own peace of mind, although others have told me they use varnished rods w/o issues.

I was using an 8' 0" Battenkill 3piece 4-1/2oz. until Dave Westburg wrestled it out of my hands!
Until the shutdown, I've recently been enjoying a couple of Sharpes Scotty's... an "88" and an 8'0", both 6wt's.

Totally not related to the topic... just a quick note on the mention of salt rod cane pole fishin.
Hopefully it is not breaking any rules or codes...

Thanks, that was a beautiful tiger. Other tigers I'd caught were brown toned, this one somehow picked up the green back of the brookie half. I am sad to be missing this spring's lake fishing in our Okanogan region where I lucked into that fish. Hopefully the fall fishery will be open. Here's a link to that photo on my photo website and a reposted image via Postimage...
