Exceptional work Gnome! That's a beauty! Love the startrek vibe of the opals and the carved lapis petals are very sweet. Brilliant!
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it. T.R.

Reminds me of the opal in Uncut Gems. Pretty good movie.

Gentlemen,

Thank you and the garden gnomes have been very busy and they even found some Lapis fish in the dried out fish pond besides a few more flowers, Darn garden gnomes have been busy in this drought ;-) :eek

and a couple of closeups;
The agate piece below is titled "Furnace of Creation"

And the supervisor gnome overseeing the latest pieces mined from the gnomes rock garden. ;)

The flowers are necklace pendants and the Lapis flower (Titled "Forget me nots") has a London blue topaz set into it and it has a matching set of earrings as well. Working on a set of Jade trout earrings besides a pendant titled "Tiger Lily" (tiger eye onyx and an Ethiopian opal go well together and the piece is alive with shifting color and fire) and another jade and opal flower. The next flowers the garden gnomes are working on harvesting are some black jade flowers and fish.

from the play of color in the opal to the chatoyancy of the tiger eye onyx the whole piece is alive with shifting colors and the tiger eye portion has places where you can see deeply into the stone. I acheived effects I did not expect and kudos to the garden gnomes for getting through the drought in roaring style.
