As promised, here is a new fly I recently tied to fish the little yellow stonefly. It had to pass some pretty tough tests. I was looking for a pattern that had the following: look like the natural, ride low in the surface film, float really well, be east to see, be durable and easy to see, and fit on a short shank strong #14 hook. No problem
Kinda like tying to elkhairs on the same hook. I have been fishing this fly for the last few days. So far it seems to be the ticket for the home waters. dborjas
