I think I like this frame, a redish brown (minwax red mahogany stain) that complements the sepia bottom mat better than the light frame, which is essentially an unstained oak.

Yes, I prefer the darker frame as well. To my eye, it makes the etching "pop" more.

Agree on the frame; beautiful display!
I spent most of my money on shotguns, fly rods, guitars and banjos. The rest I just wasted. (Apologies to W.C. Fields)

Thanks! The mat color is truer in the light framed etching than in the dark. Poor choice in camera change.
