#21Mainstem Delaware River, less than two miles from the house - the normal local guy, and one that was very unexpected...

#25That looks a lot like a tiger trout. . I wasn’t aware that there were any naturally occurring in the wild, I mistakenly thought they were all bred as hybrids in hatcheries. They’re fun fish, neat you caught one out of the Delaware ( if it is indeed a tiger, I can’t tell for absolute certain in this photo).

Hook a monster right there and bye bye fly line and backing if you are not careful.
Me more than one hundred pounds heavier.
38 foot long fly rod - whoopee! not local .. see that ocean liner

#31Yes, that unexpected fish is indeed a tiger trout, 23 inches of tiger trout that fought like it. Surprised the heck out of me. I have since learned of another tiger or two being caught in the Delaware, also good fish of 16" to 18".

#32Brian, just curious the Ozark bass you have pictured looks like a Smallmouth to me. The Ozarks black bass also appears to be a Spotted bass. Are these fish indeed classified differently or maybe these are just local names for the fish? Looks like the fishing is good in southern Missouri!
