Would a Johnny Morris owned and operated Casting Club in the Ozarks be something you would travel to see / cast at ?
It doesn't have to be that guy, the Bass Pro Shops guy... but he does have large parcels of land here.
Brian
All rods casting / some at many hundred foot distances! What a sight that must be.

(this is a new question - the old one obviously was garbage)

#4Well right now I am 2 miles from Lane Spring. Not going fishing as everything is up down here. But yeah, it would be nice. Jay Cook has passed us by so we need to attempt to fill the gap.
There are some places along the Gasconade as well. "Resorts" so to speak.
Also...since I have a Walton Powell, a Eustis Edwards and a Union Hardware bamboo casting rods with vintage reels...might be a sidebar there?

#6The location above is the one I have settled on... for good reason. Across from the Table Rock State Park, here in Branson by the dam.
Tuesday September 14th - 12 - 5pm
Trophy Run Casting Club invites you out to cast on the grass for as long as you desire...
The spot offers you a great place to cast with no one around.
Bring a rod and cast for while.

#7So a little off topic but related...my youngest son married a girl from Osage Beach two months ago and I fell in love with the place. Not Osage itself but more in the Liberty area which is closer to where the wedding was. I'd leave LA tomorrow if my wife would but I suspect my trout fishing days would involve very long drives or plane flights?.

#8I'm going to be in Springfield area and will try to come by.
