#3Somehow I missed the original post, but I "caught it" on this refresh. Very interesting, Jeff!
The breadth of your creative endeavors amazes me! Author, bamboo rod maker, rod making historian, artist, jewelry maker, and I'm sure I'm probably omitting several other categories!

#4Jeff, I missed it too. A most intriguing piece from the cave. What's it made from?

#5FWIW I also did not see your post before. I don't think I could have resisted looking at a post titled with the pun of "Callibaetis Dreamin'," and so I would suspect an electronic glitch, except that the report of over a thousand views is pretty persuasive. Glad to be enjoying it now.

#6Gentlemen, Thank you!! The piece was carved from a single piece of Montana agate The legs are NiAG and the base is walnut with a simulated crystal clear stream that the Mayfly is resting on. I do owe the Mommas and the Papas thanks for the hijacking of the song name which fits this piece perfectly.
Rupert, I passed certification to weld on a Nuc plant before I was 21 years old, a good thing they closed it on the day I was supposed to go to work there which sent me down the path I am on today otherwise I might glow worse than I do now ;-)

#7Jeff, I, too, somehow missed you original post, and I always read your posts, interesting as they are.
In this case, I would've gone with a "Wow!" That's a beauty indeed.
Thanks much for sharing,
Kenneth
